UPPER SANDUSKY — The Star Players of Upper Sandusky will stage Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” as its summer 2018 musical. The production will be presented June 29-July 1 and July 5, 7 and 8 at the Star Theatre in Upper Sandusky.

BLUFFTON — The Lima Symphony Orchestra’s Friends of the Symphony will be holding their annual Young Artists’ Competition on Saturday April 28 at Yoder Recital Hall, Bluffton University. This year’s competition is for voice and strings.

ADA -- Ohio Northern University and Dr. Sarah Waters, associate professor of music, will hold the third annual Steel Drum Day at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 in the Presser Hall recital hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Members of the cast of Ada High School’s “And Then There Were None” presented a portion of the production to students at the school on Wednesday. The play is based on an Agatha Christie mystery.

LIMA — The Ohio State Lima Theatre Department presents the musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts.

LIMA — Crafton Beck will lead the Lima Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in LSO’s final concert of the season, “Music is Life” on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. Presenting Mussorgky’s iconic and beloved “Pictures at an Exhibition” as well as Smetana’s hauntingly beautiful “The Mouldau,” this performance connects pieces that are truly a reflection of the resilience and unceasing strength of the human spirit.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University will host the annual Riley Creek Festival from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14 in the Sommer Center. Free and open to the public, the festival will feature block-party-style events including family-friendly inflatables, games and other activities.

BLUFFTON —Bluffton University’s Camerata Singers, University Chorale, Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble will perform during the Spring Fling concert at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 in Yoder Recital Hall. Camerata will sing arrangements of familiar songs such as “Sing” from Sesame Street and “Yesterday” by the Beatles.

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay Theatre Program’s staging of “The 39 Steps!” will be April 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. and April 15 at 2 p.m. at the John and Hester Powell Grimm Theatre in the Frank J Egner Center for the Performing Arts on campus.

ADA – David Kosmyna, Ohio Northern University professor of music, will be the featured performer on trumpet in a faculty recital at 7 p.m. on April 7 in the Presser Hall recital hall. The event is free and open to the public.
