Ohio Northern University Symphony and Wind Orchestra plan concert

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Symphony and Wind Orchestra will present a concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9 in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. The program begins as the ONU Wind Orchestra, conducted by Antoine Clark, pays homage to the ceremonial kindling of light during the holidays and the winter solstice through a beautiful and musically illuminating program titled “Season of Light.”

Marion Palace to host Christmas production

MARION — Kicking off the holiday season at the historic Marion Palace Theatre is the annual community production of “Christmas at the Palace” on Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2. Written and directed by Clare Cooke, “Christmas at the Palace 2018: The Gift of Family” features the talent of hundreds of Marion-made individuals who share the warmth and wonder of the holidays in song and dance, instrumental solos and group numbers, heart-felt vignettes, silly sketches, and more.
