Acting mayor wants job in McGuffey; faces two challengers on Nov. 3 McGUFFEY — The mayor’s race in McGuffey will feature the acting mayor against two challengers. When Mayor Gary Conley resigned this summer, council president Greg Howard agreed to be acting mayor, while continuing to hold onto his council seat.
