Precincts and locations have been set for Tuesday’s general election. The only change is that voters in the Mount Victory, Ridgeway and Hale Township precinct now vote at the Mount Victory Community Building.
The Hardin County Agricultural Society will hold its annual election for directors on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the fair office at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. Members of the Agricultural Society who reside in the townships open for election may vote on the director representing their township.
Kenton Mayor Randy Manns is seeking another four years in office in Tuesday’s general election. Although his name is the only one listed for the race on the ballot, he has two write-in challengers. Both John Alexander and Joe Hord are hoping voters will write-in their names on the ballot for the mayor’s race in hopes of unseating the incumbent.
ALGER — Three candidates are competing for two council seats in Alger in Tuesday’s election. Ethan Hunt is the town’s fire chief and was appointed to fill a vacancy on council in August after council member Jennifer Dye resigned. Four candidates will compete for three open seats on the Ridgemont Board of Education in Tuesday’s general election. Newcomer Patrick Stacklin is going against incumbents Cheryl France, Eric Hill and Jerry Turner. France and Turner did not respond to an election questionnaire from the Times.

DUNKIRK — Three people, including both incumbents, will vie for two openings on the Dunkirk Village Council in the Nov. 3 election. Dorothy Baum and Jaide McBride, who are currently on the council, have decided to seek re-election. They are challenged by Linda Gibson.
ALGER — Incumbent Alger mayor David Allen has decided not to return to the job after one term. Two members of council are running in the Nov. 3 election to secure the seat as the village leader.
