FOREST — In May of 2014, Forest was preparing to open its swimming pool for the season when major physical concerns were discovered. The old pump house built under the concrete deck was collapsing. The walls had buckled several inches and the pool itself was considered unsafe for public use.

Hardin County native Jon Cross, who currently serves as President and CEO of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, has filed paperwork with the Hardin County Board of Elections to form a campaign committee to explore a run in 2018 for State Representative of the 83rd Ohio House District.

The election precinct in Roundhead is going to be temporarily relocated to the new McDonald Township building at 5302 Ohio 67, Room B (across from the McDonald Cemetery). According to a release from the Hardin County Board of Elections, this change will begin with the Nov. 8 General Election.
