Three candidates are vying for two openings on the Hardin Northern Board of Education in Tuesday’s election. Ken Hopson, Andrea Richardson and Sara Stewart are competing for the seats.

There are four people running for two openings on the Ada Board of Education in the Nov. 7 election. Nancy Wood Allison and Steve Ramey were the only candidates to complete an election questionnaire from the Times. Also on the ballot are Nicholas Daniels and Ernest Daugherty.

McGUFFEY — There are six candidates for two openings on the McGuffey Village Council in the Nov. 7 election. Jamie Davis and Randy Wolford were the only ones to complete an election questionnaire from the Times. Also on the ballot are Tim Jordan, Drake Krummery, Charles Carey and Robert Spradlin.

ADA — The Ada School District is asking its voters to turn out on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7 to renew a 3/4 percent income tax levy that is set to expire at the end of the calendar year. The five-year levy has been in effect since 1992 and the district is seeking its renewal for a fifth time.

Times for the final days of in-person absentee/early voting for the Nov. 7 election have been set by the Hardin County Board of Elections. Voting will take place in the board’s office in the basement of the courthouse. After 5 p.m. and on weekends, voters are to use the south entrance of the courthouse. ALGER — Six candidates are vying for four openings on the Alger Village Council in the Nov. 7 election. Seeking a return to council are Stephen Collingsworth, Linda Dienstberger, Don Hensley and Don Thompson.

Voters from throughout Hardin County will vote on the future of the county’s 9-1-1 system this fall. The funding for the system is up for a renewal for another five years on the Nov. 7 ballot.

The senior citizens of Hardin County have come to rely on the services they get through the Council On Aging. The busing service transports them on local errands and to medical appointments throughout the state at no cost to the individual. There are free meals provided daily at the Senior Citizen Center and those who need care around the clock are cared for during the day at the Adult Day Care Center.

The Hardin County Board of Elections has announced early voting hours for the Nov. 7 general election.
