Cross holds big lead over Buckland in campaign contributions

More than $115,000 has been raised by the two Republican candidates in the hotly contested primary for the 83rd District seat in the Ohio House. According to campaign finance report filings with the Ohio Secretary of State released this week, Jon Cross of Kenton is raising and spending significantly more money than Cheryl Buckland of Findlay.

Buckland: Husband didn’t touch sign

A candidate in the 83rd District Ohio House race said her husband was incorrectly accused of tampering with her opponent’s sign. Cheryl Buckland of Findlay, who is challenging Jon Cross of Kenton for the House seat in the May 8 Republican primary, told the Times that one of her supporters reported that one of Cross’ signs did not contain the required political campaign committee information.

Right life group endorses Cross

The Right to Life Action Coalition of Ohio, Inc. (RTLACO) announced its selection of Jon Cross for endorsement in the 83rd Ohio House District Republican primary. The statewide organization said it selected Cross because of his pro-life and pro-family stance on policy issues, consistent responses to survey questions, and ability to be successful in his efforts.
