Wharton man sent to jail for vandalism

A Wharton man was sent to jail for 80 days after he was convicted of vandalism in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Jarred Graham Smith of Wharton was found guilty by a jury of one count of vandalism.

Municipal court news: February 13, 2016

Jingyun Zhang, Dublin – speeding 67 mph in a 55 mph zone, fined $25. Fined $25 for speeding 68 mph in a 55 mph zone were: Dorothy L. Lemaster, Marion; Rachel J. McClure, 9494 CR 35, Alger; Rhonda L. Moore, Rawson and Katherine Marie Napier, 442 E. Columbus St., Kenton.

Late Monday afternoon, Nathan Getz nervously prepared to do something that two years ago would have seemed impossible. At that time, Getz said, he had one change of clothing and was sleeping every night on a couch at his parents’ home. Now he found himself scheduled to speak to a packed gallery in the Hardin County Common Pleas courtroom.

Kenton woman sentenced

A Kenton woman was placed on community control after she pleaded guilty to charges in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Haley McKenzie Hayter, 431 E. Carrol St., Kenton, pleaded guilty to one count each of possession of heroin and tampering with evidence.
