An Ada woman was sent to prison for two years after pleading guilty to a charge of trafficking in heroin in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Angela Nicole Cheek, 330 Grandview Ave., Ada, was also fined $5,000 by Judge Scott Barrett for the offense.

In addition to the fines levied against defendants who are found guilty, $39 in state costs, $30 in court costs, $6 for court special projects and $5 for the court computerization fund will be assessed, a total of $80.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has filed a lawsuit against a Lakeview home improvement contractor accused of failing to deliver promised services to consumers in several northwest Ohio counties.

Payton N. Shanaberger, New Bloomington – speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25.

A Kenton man was sent to prison for 11 months on a drug charge during a recent case in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Catina Marie Butler, Wharton – speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25.

A Kenton man was sent to prison for 39 months after being convicted of drug-related charges in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Blake R. Watkins, 2329 CR 80, Alger – speeding 42 mph in a 25 mph zone, fined $25.

Carl Douglas Lowe and wife to Thomas J. Tylenda and wife, .11 acres, Ada Lands, in part of Section 22, Liberty Twp. Tax $232.
