Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton is holding Vacation Bible School June 12-15 from 9:30 a.m. to noon with lunch served. The theme is Mighty Fortress.

TGMA Gospel Music Promotions is presenting Spring Fling at the Ada Church of Christ Disciples, 316 S. Main St., from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 3. The program will feature Jimmy Bloomfield, New Presence Gospel, Sandi & Kaylene, Chris Baldwin, Ed Ewing, Peggy Hamilton, HeartSong, Donna Sue, One Voice, Randy Long and The Seekers.

Kenton Full Gospel Church will have two special evening services, one at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 28 and one at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 7. For the service on May 28, Carolyn Wireman of Lima will be preaching a sermon titled “What are you thirsty for?”

Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Kenton held its first Mother Daughter Banquet on Saturday, May 13, hosted by Lisa Clark.

Spring is a wonderful time when the brown and gray colors of winter are replaced with the bright green, white and yellow and everything seems to be coming alive. Easter celebration of Christ’s resurrection gives us then powerful hope that God’s love is stronger than death.

Hardin County Granges will host the 2017 Rural Life Sunday at the First United Methodist Church, Kenton on Sunday, May 7. There will be a carry-in meal at 1 p.m. with a program at 2 p.m.
