The gospel group Redeeming Love will be performing at the Auglaize Free United Baptist Church, 11890 Ohio 309, Maysville, at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 23 and 11 a.m. Sunday, March 24. Everyone is welcome to attend.

We were discussing the 10 Commandments in Bible Study and we discussed how we, as a society, have come to accept things that previously were not accepted based upon our faith. But, once you begin to really look at the 10 Commandments through spiritual eyes, not through earthly eyes, you will realize that you may have broken all or most of them. In an effort to live right and lead others to Christ, we sometimes fail to acknowledge our own sins and shortcomings.

LIMA — Trinity United Methodist Church, 301 W. Market St., Lima, is presenting the third concert for the 2018-2019 Ronald W. Richards Music Series. The Lima Area Flute Choir will present “A Touch of Irish,” at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17.

MOUNT VICTORY — There will be a Victory Gospel concert from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at the Community Building at the park, 234 N. Washington St., Mount Victory. Doors open at 4 p.m. The program is open to the public.

Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Lent comes from the Anglo Saxon word lencten, which means "spring." Lent is a time of repentance, fasting, and preparation for the coming of Easter.

A year ago, TLC Ministries made a move to Alger to expand its outreach and has seen many blessings and miracles take place. Healing and deliverance has been the focus. The move was not without difficulties.

The 2019 Northwest Ohio Aglow International Area Spring Conference is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 13 in The Banquet Hall at the Findlay Elks Lodge No. 75, 900 West Melrose Ave., Findlay. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The theme for the conference is “Behold – The Generations Encountering Our God.”

CAREY — Due to few people attending The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation’s 1:30 p.m. Sunday Shrine devotions in the winter months, these devotions will no longer take place November through April.
