MOUNT BLANCHARD — Ridgemont High School’s “The Addams Family Musical” was named Best Show at the Hardin County Players 6th Annual Take-A-Bow (TAB) Awards Ceremony Tuesday night at the Riverdale High School auditorium.

The courthouse in Hardin County was impacting the life of Cliff Biddinger even before he was born. The native of the county was born more than a decade after the majestic building was completed, but his father’s brother lost his life in the building’s construction.

If Estella Hites were still alive, this Mother’s Day would have been the greatest of her life. Estella worked for decades to reunite her seven grandchildren who were removed by county officials in 1973 and separated by adoption.

Kenton Chief of Police John Vermillion spent time this week removing the pictures and plaques from his office. Starting Monday, it’s not his office any more. Vermillion announced his plans to retire earlier this year. This week marks the 38th year since he took on a uniform at the Kenton Police Department.
