A Kenton woman was struck and killed by a semi-truck Thursday evening in Kenton as she walked her bicycle across a downtown intersection. The victim has been identified as Karen Winegardner, 54.
The Kenton Elks Lodge honored Teenagers of the Month for March during a luncheon on Thursday at the lodge. Teens from all six Hardin County schools were recognized.
A check from Hancock County put the United Way of Hardin County over its goal for 2015. At the United Way’s annual meeting this morning at St. John’s Evangelical Church, it was first reported that the organization fell just 2 percent short of its $215,000 goal.

COLUMBUS — Chase Sumner will be a state placer in Division III at 132 pounds. The Ada sophomore stayed in contention with a consolation pin Thursday after losing his first match in the state wrestling tournament. Friday, he again was the aggressor in a 7-2 decision over Oak Harbor's Dylan Mansor to clinch a podium spot.
