Kenton grad takes part in archaeological dig A Kenton man spent two weeks on his hands and knees in an Israeli cave this summer searching for human remains and tools at an archaeological site estimated to be at least 50,000 years old. Kids Day activities, school supplies keep Helping Hands busy The crew at Helping Hands Outreach feels as if they have “too many irons in the fire” at this time of the year. The volunteers are preparing for Saturday’s Kids Day at Kenton’s Wharton Park, they are also taking applications for school supply assistance, planning a community spaghetti dinner, a Thanksgiving meal and the annual Christmas support program.
