Raising funds

The Kenton volleyball team held a Volley for the Cure, Buff Puff tournament and collected $950 for Not By Choice Outreach in Kenton. Pictured are head coach Juli Dearing and senior volleyball players presenting the donation to NBC representative Rozie Eikenbary. The Wildcats will look to continue the annual event to benefit patients in Hardin County battling cancer.

Auctioneer David Wedertz takes bids on a drink machine inside the kitchen of the former Hardin Hills facility on Thursday. It took Wedertz roughly six hours to auction off items such as commercial kitchen equipment, laundry items, electric beds, patient supplies, and more. It raised just over $32,000, he said.
