COLUMBUS – Since 1976, 486 outstanding older Ohioans have been inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. The Ohio Department of Aging is once again accepting nominations for this statewide prestigious recognition.

Monday – salad, crackers, birthday ice cream cup, milk. Tuesday – soup with crackers, cheese with crackers, yogurt, milk.

COLUMBUS — For the fifth consecutive year, the Ohio Department of Aging, through its STEADY U Ohio falls prevention initiative, invites all Ohioans to help take “10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls.” To date, community partners have organized more than four dozen local walking events and groups on National Falls Prevention Awareness Day, Monday, Sept. 23, and throughout September.

Monday-Friday: S.O.U.P. Kitchen week. Free meals offered in fellowship hall at St. John’s Evangelical Church, Kenton.

Hardin Hills Health Center took residents to the Hardin County Fair Tuesday through Friday this year.

Next week’s menu includes the following: Monday – salad, crackers, mandarin oranges, orange creme cakes, milk. Tuesday – salad, crackers, ice cream cup, cookie, milk.

Resident Barb Brown celebrated her 93rd birthday with her daughters Jackie Brown and Charlotte Banks. Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center staff were encouraged to stop by Barb’s room to wish her a happy birthday and to enjoy a cupcake, compliments of her daughters.

Residents at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center were treated to a special evening activity on Aug. 21. Connie McNeal, activity director from Willow Brooke Assisted Living, sang and played guitar for the group.
