FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will be showing two movies on Friday, March 20.

Members of the Hardin Northern Garden Club met March 6 at the Mary Lou Johnson Library. The program for the month was at the beginning of the meeting.

Two Hardin County area schools placed in the top 10 at the Rain Barrel Decorating Contest, sponsored by the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership.

March is designated as National Nutrition Month. The guideline of using the Food Pyramid that we once used in order to eat a balanced meal has been changed. First Lady Michelle Obama and United States Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack introduced the new food icon known as MyPlate on June 2, 2011.

The Tri-Moraine Audubon Society’s Saturday, March 28 field trip will be to Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area in Wyandot and Marion counties.

The Ada Kiwanis Club met on Tuesday, March 10 at noon at McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University, Ada. President John Berg called the meeting to order.
