MAYSVILLE — The Auglaize Free United Baptist Church will be hosting Bryan and Yvonne Hutson, vocalists, songwriters and speakers, at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22. The church is located 15 miles west of Kenton at 11890 Harding Highway (Ohio 309), Maysville.

The First United Methodist Church women would like to thank the public for supporting their annual cookie walk this past December. The money raised was given to five charities: Helping Hands (Deanna Wages), Kids Club and Youth (FUMC), Heartbeat of Hardin County, Soup Kitchen and Helping Hands (FUMC).

After spending several years as a funeral director, Mike Armentrout felt a calling to be in the ministry. He decided to follow that calling and is now the minister for Kenton’s First Christian Church. Armentrout has been a Christian his whole life, but prior to his calling, he was what he calls a “nominal Christian.”

DUNKIRK — The 10th annual “Night in Bethlehem” is planned next weekend at Camp Common Ground in Dunkirk. An interactive, hands-on recreation of ancient Bethlehem, it will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.

MOUNT VICTORY — James Evans will be taking over the pastor duties at the Mount Victory Church of Christ. Evans and his wife, Lena, live in Kenton where they served in various ministries at the First Baptist Church, including Sunday School teacher, Praise Team and deacon.

DUNKIRK — A service of Thanksgiving will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Hardin Northern Community Center in Dunkirk. It is offered as a time for the community of believers to thank God for the many blessings he has given to all. TLC Ministries has been a ministry of old-fashioned values in many aspects. “We like to hold to the old way of doing things,” Pastor Tony Crow said, from meeting the needs of others through help of many kinds, like old-fashioned revivals, gospel concerts and camp meetings. “Sometimes folks just need to relax,” he said.
