BYHALIA — The Byhalia Friends Church will be hosting its Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 31 through Wednesday, Aug. 2, and at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3. The theme for the program is “Rome: Paul and the Underground Church.”

MOUNT VICTORY — The Mount Victory Church of Christ is extending an invitation to join in two special services. On Sunday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m., “Daughters of Hope” will be joining in the service, bringing their unique choreography to Christian music.

ADA — A Gospel Sing will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Ada War Memorial Park, 401 N. Park Drive, Ada. Singers include Randy Long, Jacob Reel, Sonya Petty, Chris Baldwin, Rita Motter, Arnold Coy, Donna Sue, The Homelighter Quartet, and The Sisters – Sandy and Kaylene.

Vacation Bible School at Silver Creek United Methodist Church will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. during the week of Sunday, July 30 to Friday, Aug. 4. This year’s theme is “God’s Love Is out of This World!” The church is located at 17314 CR 115 in Kenton.

ALGER — The Quickstep Pentecostal Church will sponsor a homecoming service on July 30 at 10 a.m. The gospel group Anointed Hearts will perform.

Some people say that being a Christian is demanding or difficult. So many rules to follow in trying to be a good person, to make one acceptable to God.

LIMA —Trinity Music Ministries will perform a benefit concert for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Aug. 17 at Shawnee Alliance Church, 4455 Shawnee Road, Lima. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will start at 7 p.m.

HARROD — Music in the Park is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30 at Westminster Park, 6825 Faulkner Road, Harrod. Featured performers will be Christ August, Three Bridges, Brad Brown Magic, Scott Stimmel and Arnold Coy.

The Ridgemont Unity Community Vacation Bible School will be held for three days, July 26-28, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Ridgemont School. The VBS, for children ages 4 to 12, is sponsored by Mount Victory Church of Christ and United Methodist Church, and the Ridgeway Church of God and United Methodist Church.
