Gospel musician Thomas Shelton will present a concert at First Christian Church, 340 N. Main St., Kenton on Wednesday, May 16 at 7 p.m. An Indiana native, Shelton was raised in a devout Christian home.

St. Paul’s Church, 4443 CR 25, Ada is hosting a free family movie night at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 12. The featured movie will be “Racing Stripes.”

ROUNDHEAD — Roundhead United Methodist Church will be hosting a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12. Many items will be available, including a large selection of baby girl clothes, newborn & up.

The gospel singing group Latter Rain will be performing at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger, during the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, May 6.

The Sacrament of Confirmation was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton on April 9. The celebrant was Most Reverend Fredrick F. Campbell, Bishop of Columbus, and co-celebrant Reverend David J. Young.

Rev. Thomas E. Eisenman, who turned 91 on April 25, continues as a pastor with 68 years of service and has been serving as pastor at the First Reformed United Church of Christ in Kenton for the past 28 years. He is married to Sarah Hallman and has three sons: Thomas, Robert and Richard.

CAREY — The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey will be celebrating a special mass in honor of Saint Peregrine, patron saint of those affected by cancer, on Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m. in the Basilica. Anyone suffering from cancer, in remission from cancer, a cancer survivor and their loved ones and caregivers are especially invited to participate.

Pastor Bob Smith of Forest will be preaching and singing at The Well of Grace Fellowship Church, 525 N. Ida St., Kenton, at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The Auglaize Free United Baptist Church, located 15 miles west of Kenton at 11890 Ohio 309, Maysville, will be hosting an all-you-can-eat country-style breakfast and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Donations are $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 7-13. Children under 6 eat free.
