A Celebration of Life for Karl McNeal will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021 in the Community Building at the Hardin County Fairgrounds.The celebration will run from 1 to 5 p.m., with memories to be shared beginning at 3 p.m.–––––Editor’s Note: This notice is being republished to correct the date of the service.

It was reported in Wednesday’s Times that Catherine Summit was found guilty of two counts of vehicular assault and one charge of OVI, however the 7-9-year prison term was for one count of vehicular assault and one charge of vehicular homicide.

During the March 23 meeting of the Kenton-Hardin Health Board it was announced that the Ohio Department of Transportation had slated Hardin County to receive $2.1 million for the Rides to Community Immunity grant program. Kelsey Ralson, the health department’s public relations officer, said that figure was based on information from a spreadsheet ODOT made available with the initial announcement.  …

In a story about local libraries offering the public COVID-19 testing kits, it was reported the number of public libraries in Ohio was 257. The correct number is 251.

It was incorrectly reported that Pleasant Township received CARES funding in an article in the Times on Dec. 9. The two townships receiving the funding were Liberty and McDonald.

In Saturday’s paper it was reported Hardin County is making grants available to small businesses and it was incorrectly reported that those applications are due Oct. 26. Instead, forms to apply for the grants will be available on Oct. 26, Commissioner Roger Crowe said today, and will need to be returned by Nov. 24.

ALGER — It was reported in Wednesday’s Times that the Alger Village Council agreed to install a fence around its water tower at Monday’s meeting. While the project was discussed, no action was taken by council.
