Ada girls score 3 in 2nd to top Upper

UPPER SANDUSKY — Ada scored four unanswered goals to defeat Upper Sandusky 4-2 in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Thursday at Upper Sandusky.

Grace Walton scored on a penalty kick in the ninth minute and assisted an Erin Merriman goal with six minutes left in the first half to put Upper Sandusky (8-2, 1-2 NCOSA) ahead 2-0.

Making a move

Upper Sandusky controlled the ball with 30 shots to just eight by Ada and, a 22-7 advantage in shots on goal, and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. Ada’s Katie Sizemore came up huge with 15 saves in goal, while defenders made five others. 

Ada is at Bluffton Tuesday at 7 p.m.
