Hardin County Commis-sioner Edward O. Elliott II died Saturday morning at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. He was 69. Elliott, who was seeking a fourth term as county commissioner in March 15 Republican primary, served the community in many capacities throughout his life. He had served as chairman of the county commissioners last year.
No injuries were reported from an attic fire on Levings Street in Kenton Sunday evening. According to a report from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters responded to a fire at 404 Levings St. at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday.
