Services for Wanda Jane Foreman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mount Victory by Pastor Timothy Peria. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery.

The Hardin County Engineers Office has announced it will be closing the intersection where Ohio 195 turns into County Road 65 for three to five days beginning on March 7 for surface work.

Jeffrey S. McCloud, 915 Cooper St., reported that sometime after 8 p.m. on Friday, an unknown person cut four tires on his truck which was parked in his driveway. The unknown person also entered the unlocked truck and took an undetermined amount of loose change.

For 30 years, Daryl Flowers’ days were filled with his construction job, which took him away from home as much as a week at a time. But since his retirement in 2010, Flowers has devoted endless hours to local organization, has served in an elected office and continues with his favorite job of all – watching his grandkids.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office has received a report of a young black man in his 20s approaching individuals stating that he is representing the Upward Sports Program and is soliciting donations by selling candy. Purportedly, proceeds from the candy sales are to be used for the purchase of uniforms and to pay tournament expenses.

PAULDING — Kenton scored just two points in the opening quarter of its Division II boys basketball sectional final Friday night against No. 1 seeded Defiance. The quarter set the tone for the remainder of the game as the Bulldogs cruised to a 67-46 win, ending the Wildcats’ season.

CANTON — Mission accomplished. That is the feeling Kenton High School senior Mo Gray left the Division II Ohio Swimming Championships with after swimming to a fifth-place finish and a spot on the podium in the 100-yard breaststroke Friday night.

HARROD — Fort Recovery went on a big run midway through the second quarter to take a 15-point lead over Upper Scioto Valley and didn’t let the Rams get closer than eight the rest of way Friday in a Division IV boys basketball sectional final.
