TROY — After losing in the quarterfinals Friday night, Ada sophomore Chase Sumner knew he was in a tough place. Sumner needed to win three matches in a row to qualify for the Division III state wrestling tournament.
WILMINGTON — Ben Logan sophomore Cole Houser needed to win one match Saturday to qualify for the Division II state wrestling tournament. After dropping his semifinal match to Graham’s Jordan Crace at 106 pounds, Houser rebounded and got a win in the consolation semifinals.
FOSTORIA — Kenton had a tough day Saturday at the Division II district wrestling tournament in Fostoria. Sophomore C.J. Cook and senior Tobias Mendoza went a combined 0-4 as both fell short of making state.
The Hardin County Republican Women held their February meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the kudoStudio at 106 W. Columbus Street in Kenton. The meeting was presided over by President Merrilee Rogers, who called the meeting to order.
National FFA Week was Feb. 20-27. The Riverdale FFA Chapter had a spirit week with every day having a different theme for the whole school.
On Feb. 24, the Kenton OHP FFA chapter welcomed its new degree recipients as the new 2016 Greenhands for the Kenton OHP FFA chapter. Hannah Heilman gave a speech over world hunger and empowerment.
