Couple celebrates 25th
Aaron and Christine Lawrence of Dunkirk are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.
Lawrence and the former Christine Sprehe were united in marriage Nov. 5, 1983 at the home of the groom’s parents in Alger by the Rev. Ron Briggs.
Lawrence is the son of Marion and Madonna Lawrence of Alger. He is employed in shipping and sales at Anderson Tractor Supply in Bluffton.
Mrs. Lawrence is the daughter of Marge Sprehe of Ada and the late Wayne Sprehe. She is an office manager at Hardin Hills Health Center.
They are the parents of a daughter Ashley Lawrence of Dublin and a son, Jacob Lawrence of Dunkirk.
A celebration will be held at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Liberty Conservation Club in Ada. |
Isenbargers wed 50 years
Darius and Deborah Isenbarger, 12802 CR 60, Kenton, are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary.
Isenbarger and the former Deborah Oates were united in marriage Oct. 5, 1973 at the Walnut Grove Church, Kenton by the Rev. J.H. Dunn.
Isenbarger is the son of Helen Isenbarger Pratt of Dunkirk and the late Robert Isenbarger. He is retired from Hardin Northern School and is a member of Art Space/Lima Photography Club.
Mrs. Isenbarger is the daughter of the late Irena and Charles Oates. She is employed at Ball Metal Corporation in Findlay.
They are the parents of two daughters, Krista (Mirl) King of Dunkirk and Dawn (Jack) Carter of Ada. They also have five grandchildren: Grace, Ella, Bryce, Makenna and Aubree.

Boyds celebrate 50th
Keith and Barbara Boyd, 606 S. Patterson St., Forest are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Boyd and the former Barbara McLaughlin were united in marriage on Oct. 25, 1958 at the First United Methodist Church in Forest.
Boyd is the son of the late Paul and Thelma Boyd. He is retired from Keith Boyd Excavating and UAP.
Mrs. Boyd is the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline McLaughlin. She is retired from Marathon.
The couple are the original owners of B&B Dairy Barn in Forest.
They are the parents of three sons: Mark of Knoxville, Tenn., Neal of Findlay and Scot of Fostoria. They also have six grandchildren: Garrett, Gavin, Kyle, Connor, Logan and Gage.
A private celebration will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 in Findlay. |
Bishops celebrate 50th
Paul and Evelyn Bishop are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple were united in marriage on Oct. 26, 1958 at the First Congregational Church in Battle Creek, Mich.
They are the parents of a son, Glenn Alan (Cindy) Bishop and one grandson John Alexander Bishop.
A cruise to Alaska was taken in August to celebrate. |
Bennetts celebrate 25th
Charles Edward and Rebecca Jean Bennett, 980 Winding Hollow Lane, Upper Sandusky, are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.
Bennett and the former Rebecca Jean Combs were united in marriage on Oct. 15, 1983 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky with Albert A. Schwenke officiat-ing.
Bennett is a son of Mary JoAnn Bennett, Upper Sandusky and the late Edward James Bennett. He was employed 23 years in the overhead door industry. He is employed by Triumph Thermal Systems Inc. as a certified welder and a member of the United Auto Workers Local No. 1033.
Mrs. Bennett is a daughter of French Combs, Mount Victory and the late Connie Charlene Combs. She was employed for 15 years at United Technologies. She is a homemaker and enjoys spending time with family and friends and walking the couple’s dachshund, Copper.
The couple is planning to celebrate their marriage with a trip to Amish Country. |
Smiths celebrate 25 years of marriage
Ronald and Betty Smith of Kenton are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.
The couple were united in marriage on Oct. 15, 1983 in an outdoor ceremony at their residence in Kenton by the Rev. George Hurt.
Smith is the son of the late Delbert and Ivah (Bailey) Smith. He is retired after 36 years from Durez.
Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late Ed and Alice Wright. She is a homemaker and a retired cook from several businesses.
The couple are the parents of 11 children, 22 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Staleys celebrate 50th
Paul and Ruth Staley of rural Forest are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple were united in marriage on Oct. 11, 1958 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiffin, by the Rev. James Walsh.
Staley is a son of the late Howard and Geneva Staley. He is part owner and president of Hempy Water Conditioning. Previously, he worked in banking for more than 30 years.
Mrs. Staley is a daughter of the late Alphonse and Anna Wilhelm. She is a homemaker and retired from Hempy Water Conditioning of Forest after 40 years of employment.
The couple have six children, Mike Staley, New York; Marlene Swinehart, Upper Sandusky; Marilyn Staley, Findlay; LuAnn Sherman and Linda McGrath, both of Kenton and Lorene Pesicek, Johnstown. They also have eight grandchildren.
They are members of St. Mary's Chapel, Kirby.
The family will celebrate with an open house for family and friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Moose Lodge, Upper Sandusky. The event is being hosted by the couple's children and grandchildren.

Gillfillans celebrate 40th
Gary and Connie Gillfillan, 7127 CR 167, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Henry's Restaurant.
Gillfillan and the former Connie Breidenbach were united in marriage on Oct. 12, 1968 at the former Eureka Church of rural Forest by Rev. Joe Walbrun.
Gillfillan is the son of Ted and Bertha Gillfillan. His mother resides in Grant. He has two sisters, Lisa and Marlene Gillfillan and two brothers, Denis and Dick of Forest. He is retired from Findlay Whirlpool.
Mrs. Gillfillan is the daughter of Lowell and Lois Breidenbach. Her mother resides in Kenton. A brother, Lowell Arden Breidenbach, is deceased.
The couple are the parents of a son Chad (Amy) and two grandchildren, Cody and Taylor of Forest. |
