Charles L. "Chuck", 58
Marion

Graveside inurnment services will take place at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Rushsylvania Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger and Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion.
He died Wednesday morning, Sept. 3, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born in Kenton on July 28, 1950, the son of Pauline (Wren) Tudor of Big Springs and the late Charles T. Tudor.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Arlene Tudor of Marion; son, Michael (Julia) Tudor of Cincinnati; daughter, Karen (Michael) West of New Albany; two grandchildren, Lauren and Kristen West; mother, Pauline Tudor; brother, Rick (Bev) Tudor; and sister, Becky (Ed) Ropp, all three of Big Springs.
He graduated from Buckeye Local High School in Rushsylvania in the class of 1968. While playing the drums in a square dance band, Chuck met his future wife, Arlene Castle, during a dance in Belle Center. On Aug. 6, 1969, Chuck and Arlene were married in Rushsylvania. Together they shared over 39 wonderful years of marriage.
After receiving his registered nurse training from the Ohio State University in Marion, Chuck began working as an R.N. at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton. Many nights, he was the only one working the emergency room at the hospital tending to all of the situations without help.
In 1973, Chuck and Arlene moved to Marion, where he worked at the Doctor’s Park and Marion General Hospital holding numerous positions in various departments for over 25 years. Continuing his education, Chuck received his master’s degree in business administration from Ashland University in 1996. For the past ten years, he served as Marion General’s manager of information systems.
A man of deep faith, Chuck was an active member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, now the Crosswoods United Methodist Church. Having served the church in many capacities, he most enjoyed playing drums in the praise band and going on mission trips. Also, he was a member of the United Methodist Men’s Group.
A car show enthusiast, Chuck loved to drive his 1957 Chrysler Imperial and 1972 AMC Matador to the shows. He loved everything about going to car shows, from showing off his prize rides to spending time with his friends and family. Always polishing and tinkering with his cars, he always made sure he was ready for the next car show.
Having played the drums in several bands, such as the Kingsmen, Chuck most loved to play the song “Wipe Out” and many other of his oldies favorites.
With his very sarcastic sense of humor, Chuck had a way of saying it like it was.
A quiet man, Chuck was always there for his many friends and family when they needed him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crosswoods United Methodist Church General Fund, 1551 Richland Road, Marion, Ohio 43302, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
