Services for Philip D. Patton will be 12:30 p.m. Friday at Liberty Baptist Church, 5134 CR 20, Ada, by Pastor Lonnie Taylor. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service Friday.
He died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008.
He was born March 31, 1935, in McGoffin County, Kentucky to Menefee and Alta (Patrick) Patton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, F. Joann (Sams) Patton; four sons, Richard (Julie), Michael (Sarah), Patrick (Anita) and Mark (Mary Lou); several grandchildren; a brother, Edgar (Gloria) and five sisters, Ruby, Diane, Jenny, Patty and Cathy.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dorsey, Johnny, Delmar and Danny, a sister, Aileen, and a grandson, Aaron Patton.
He was a graduate of McGuffey High School, class of 1953.
He was a 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam and was an Air Force Recruiter in Lima.
He was a business owner in Kenton for 25 years and a nursing home minister for 11 years.
He was a member of Berean Baptist Temple in Beavercreek and past member of Liberty Baptist Church, Ada.
The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to Liberty Baptist Church mission program.
Adkins Funeral Home of Enon is assisting the family with his final wishes.
