Burial for Gwendolyn Bales will be at a later date. There will be no services or visitation.
She died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 10, 1912, in Beckley, W.Va., to John and Lena Campbell. She was married to Harry C. Bales and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are a granddaughter, Donna Deisler of Kenton; and three great-grandchildren, Dailyn Campbell, Shelby Christian and Shane Christian.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Ann Chambers and a great-grandson, Damon Campbell.
A homemaker, she was a member of Beckley United Methodist Church.
Price Funeral Home, Kenton is in charge of the arrangements.

Services for Russell E. Hood will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima by the Rev. Lawrence Hannahs. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima.
Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Thursday.
He died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Lucasville to John and Hester (Nelson) Hood and both are deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn (Mike) Jennings of Elida; two sons, Keith (Linda) Hood of Delphos and Kevin Hood of Lima; five grandchildren, Mike (Sherri) Heising of Delphos, Steven (Lori) Jennings of Rocky River, Jasmine (Todd) Taylor of Pineville, La., Amber (Thomas) Ball of Delphos and Laura Jennings of Athens; a step grandson, Travis Wilson of Roundhead; six great-grandchildren, Halee Heising, Maely Jennings, Ethan Jennings, Emilyn Jennings, Brendan Taylor and Ethan Ball; and three sisters, Fran Castle of Medina, Inez Ware of Sciotoville and Opal Bennett of Lucasville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Hood and Charlie Hood, and a sister, Thelma Farris.
He was retired from the Ford Lima Engine Plant after 30 years where he worked as a supervisor.
He served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 11, 1952, to July 9, 1953.

Stalnaker

Services for Dennis Stalnaker will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Armentrout Funeral Home in Waynesfield by Pastor Edward Jarrell. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Westminster.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He died at 4:27 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.
He was born Oct. 10, 1909, in Spence, W.Va., to William Alfred and Losha (Fling) Stalnaker. On June 18, 1932, he married Dora L. Coolidge and she preceded him in death in February 1966.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Dale “Bob” Darlene Stalnaker of Waynesfield and William Dennis (Janice) Stalnaker of Harrod; three daughters, Pauline (Kenneth) Burden of Waynesfield, Loretta (John) Carter of Lima and Janet Wilcox of Wapakoneta; 21 grandchildren, 20 step grandchildren 66 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Silas and Alfred Stalnaker; and two sisters, Ruth Green and Hazel Connell.
He was a retired mason and lived in Allen County for more than 70 years.
