Services for Earl F. Baughman will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Bethel Church of Christ in Ada by the Rev. Harrison Underwood. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada. Graveside military services will be conducted by the Ada VFW Post 9381 Honor Guard.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada or one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.
He died at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.
He was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Ada to Sherman and Bessie (Smith) Baughman. On Jan. 28, 1946, he married Gertrude M. Baughman and she died on May 18, 2008.
Surviving are five sons, Paul (Gloria) Baughman of Marengo, William (Elizabeth) Baughman of Walbridge, John (Susan) Baughman of Ada, Robert (Rita) Baughman of Nelsonville and Ray (Rebecca) Baughman of Findlay; five daughters, Carol (Ken) Holt of Pittsburgh, Pa., Wanda Baughman and Jean Baughman, both of Ada, Mary (Dennis) Garrigan of Newfield, N.H., and Nancy (Hal) Hardiesty of Frankfort; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers, Orville, George, Oscar, Ogue, Chester, Edward, Dwight, Ralph and Howard Baughman and four sisters, Pearl Myers, Ella Lisk, Alice Baughman and Evelyn Baughman.
He retired from the Ada Exempted Village Schools, where he worked as a maintenance supervisor.
He was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ in Ada. He had been active in the Ada Boy Scouts and served as an assistant scoutmaster for several years.
He was a former member of the Ada Village Council and a former member of the Farmers Merchants Picnic Board of Ada. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II in the European Theatre from 1944 to 1946.

Services for Barbara Hicks will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue by Rick Hicks. Burial will be in the LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
She died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at her home.
She was born Oct. 14, 1937, in Upper Sandusky to the late Lowell and Rachel (DeBolt) Johnson. Her mother preceded her in 1966 and her father in 1979.
Surviving are her loving children, Jackie Sayre of Livermore, Calif., and Jeffrey (Rhonda) Hicks of Olive Branch, Miss.; six grandchildren, Nicole Sayre, Tiffany Sayre, Megan Parker, Jacob Tschume, Joseph Tschume and Brock Tschume; step mother, Minta Boblenz of Johnson, Ark., and cousin Peg (Les) Music of Richwood.
A 1955 graduate of the LaRue High School, she had worked at the Cook Grocery, and she had also worked for many years at the family business, the former LaRue Lumber Company. Most recently she was employed at the Wal-Mart Photo Lab.
She had served as State Commander and National Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Gleaners and the LaRue Alumni Association.

Graveside services for Vickie L. Lightner will be 11 a.m. Monday at Grove Cemetery in Kenton by Pastor Karen Rarey.
There will be no visitation.
She died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at her home.
She was born July 9, 1961, in Hillsdale, Mich., to Kelly B. and Judy (Bumpus) Perkins. On Nov. 26, 1982, she married Steven Lightner in Kenton and he survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kellie (Kyle) Bailey of Kenton; three sons, Jason Hurley, Steven (Amy) Lightner Jr. and Jesse (Laura) Lightner, all of Kenton; a sister, Annette (Douglas) Northrup of Bryan; a brother, Anthony (Shannon) Perkins of Kenton; and four grandchildren, Alabama Hurley, Shyann Sonnett, Grace Lightner and Thomas Berning.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Perkins.
She was a nurse’s aide and a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo.
The Price Funeral Home in Kenton is handling the arrangements.
