A memorial service for Joseph Allen Wroten will be held at a later date. Cremation was performed.
He died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008.
He was born in 1935 in Kenton to Russell and May Wroten. In 1955 he married Linda and she survives in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Also surviving are a son, J. Max (Patti) Wroten and a brother, Thomas (Sue) Wroten.
He served in the U.S. Army before coming to Kenton to work in retail, where he owned his own business. He also worked in the Durham Library System in Durham, N.C., for 16 years.
Cage-Mills Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas, is in charge of the arrangements.
