Services for William D. Peirce will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Clark Shields Funeral Home in Forest with Pastor Denny Livingston. Burial will be in the Patterson Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
He died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 at his home.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1942 in Jackson Township to William D. and Helen L. (Burdett) Peirce. He married Connie Seaton and she survives in Canal Winchester.
Also surviving is a son William D. Peirce of Acworth, Ga.; a daughter, Marsha Stayer of Apex, N.C.; a step-son, Dan Georgiton of Blacklick; two grandchildren, Will and Megan Peirce, both of Acworth, Ga.; two sisters, Sally Naus of Forest and Rosie Rowland of Kingsport, Tenn. and a brother, Edgar Peirce of Little River, S.C.
He retired after 35 years from Armour Eckrich where he worked in the sales department.

Services for Elizabeth H. Rowe will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger by Rev. Russell D. Manns. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday and until the time of the service on Saturday.
She died at 10:03 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Lima Memorial Hospital Health System in Lima.
She was born on March 23, 1933 in Greene County, Tennessee to Jack and Verda (Wallace) Bryant. She previously married Archie Eddington, Sr. in 1964 and they divorced. On Jan. 8, 1975 she married Elzie Rowe, he died on Oct. 24, 2003.
She is survived by a son, Archie Eddington, Jr. and partner, Ryan Freistuhler of Sidney; two daughters, Viola (Charles) Huff of Alger and Ruth Cramer of Ada; six grandchildren, Amber Cramer, Nichole Huff, Tiffany Cramer, Timothy Cramer, Jr., Nathan Cramer and Noah Huff; a great-granddaughter, Delores Edlen; four sisters, Fran (Homer) Henderson of Pandora, Betty Jarnigan of Roundhead; Minnie Ray of Alger and Bertha Gulley of Morristown, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Elmer and Clyde Bryant and two sisters, Jocie Heck and Louise Gibson.
She was a homemaker.

Services for Evelyn M. Shadley will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger. A memorial service by the Ada VFW Women's Auxiliary will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday until the time of service.
She died at 6:10 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2008 at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born on May 28, 1924 in Allen County to Noah and Hulda (Lippincott) Sherrick. On June 29, 1947, she married Everett E. Shadley and he died on Oct. 31, 2004.
She is survived by four sons, Gary (Susan) Shadley, Michael Shadley, Joe (Lora) Shadley and Bryan (Patricia) Shadley, all of Alger; three daughters, LaVonda Dawson of Lima, Karen (Kenneth) Brueshaber of Charlotte, N.C. and Dana (Darren) Deffenbaugh of Columbus Grove; five brothers, Nolan (Marty) Sherrick and James (Patty) Sherrick, both of Delphos, Kenneth (Phyllis) Sherrick, Earl (Betty) Sherrick and Noah (Mary Jo) Sherrick, Jr., all of Elida; a sister, Velva (John) Bruce of Elida; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Everett Shadley, Jr.; three granddaughters, Jamie Lynn Shadley, Tara Marie and Lisa Marie Brueshaber.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Ada VFW Post 9381 Auxiliary, the Ada Senior Citizens and the Bluffton Senior Citizens.
She graduated from Elida High School.
