Graveside services for Robert C. Hanawalt will be at a later date in the McDonald Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Home in Mount Victory.
He died at 11:14 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
He was born Aug. 27, 1949, in Columbus to Robert Charles and Frances Patricia (Shropshire) Hanawalt. On Nov. 13, 1982, he married his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia Steele and she survives in Mount Victory.
Also surviving are two sisters, Jacqueline (Dee) Allen of Chesapeake, Va., and Patricia (Bill) Martin of Ostrander and a brother, Bill Hanawalt of Zanesfield.
He was a truck driver for Ryder.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW at Milford Center. He was the commander of his tank and a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Tank Association and the Veterans Motorcycle Club.
He was a member of the POW/MIA Association and until the day he died, he wore a POW bracelet for a veteran who did not return home.

Services for Jody R. Pool will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky by the Rev. Tim Benjamin.
Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
He died Saturday evening, August 2, 2008 in the emergency room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.
He was born on April 27, 1964 in Upper Sandusky to Edwin W.
(Dorothy) Pool of Upper Sandusky and Shirley McClain-Cheney, also of Upper Sandusky. He married Patricia Spencer-Bailey and they were divorced.
Surviving is a son, Jordon Pool of Upper Sandusky; a daughter, Megan Pool of Anderson, South Carolina; four brothers, John (Jan) Pool of Upper Sandusky, Curtis (Norma) Chatfield of Forest, Jesse Chatfield of Bucyrus, Terry (Pam) Chatfield of Naples, Fla.; three sisters: Missy (George) Frey of Kirby; Colleen (Dan) Clark of Moxee, Wash.; Tara (Kurt) Balliet of Sycamore and a special friend of many years, Tonia Bergh of Upper Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by a brother Donald Pool.
He was employed for 25 years with the Whirlpool Corporation in Marion working in the press room as a steel receiver.
He was a member of the Wesley Chapel of the United Methodist Church and was a member of the Class of 1982 of Upper Sandusky High School.

Funeral services for Evelyn M. Shadley will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger.
She died at 6:10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 at the Lima Memorial Health System.
