Graveside services for Vivian J. Richards will be 1 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada, by the Rev. Jon Thomas.
Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
She died at 7:42 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.
She was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Ada to Charles Foster and Goldie (Black) Wolfe. She married Paul Wherry Richards on Feb. 6, 1951, and he died Nov. 11, 1987.
Surviving are a son, John Richards of Tacoma, Wash.; a daughter, Ann (William) Sherman of Ada; two brothers, Harry Thomas Wolfe of Wren and Neil C. (Ellen) Wolfe of Albion, Ind.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Foster Wolfe and Ned Wolfe; and two sisters, Imogine Perkins and Lela Roberts.
She was a school bus driver for Ada Exempted Schools. She previously worked for Wilson’s football factory in Ada and had been a cook at the Red Fox Inn of Ada.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service for Joan N. Shepherd will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
She died at 5:29 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
She was born June 6, 1932, in Logan County to Truman and Florence (Longshore) Herring. She married “Juke” Price and he preceded her in death. She then married Harry P. Mentzer and they divorced. On April 21, 1967, she married Chester Shepherd and he died July 15, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, John (Becky) Mentzer of Kenton and Rick Price of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Vickie (Del) Reid of Cotatai, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Kera (Brad) Blue and Kip Mentzer, both of Kenton, Dandi, Ricky, Micheal and Christopher Price, all of California, Brian Hanson and Dawn Merriner, both of California; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell (Norma) Herring of Bellefontaine and Robert Herring of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a step daughter, M’Lisa Whitney of Hyattesville, Md., and a half brother, Ronnie Johns of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James M. Herring.
She was retired from Buck Knives in San Diego after 20 years. She also taught painting classes in Hardin County for many years after retirement.
She was a member of the Marseilles United Methodist Church.
