Services for Jerry L. Frederick will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Clark Shields Funeral Home, Forest by Pastor Dennis Livingston. Burial will follow in Hueston Cemetery, Forest.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He died at 4:52 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Blanchard Valley Hospital Emergency Room, Findlay.
He was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Kenton to Amel C. and Geneva O. (Burnett) Frederick. On Aug. 26, 1968, he married Rose M. Bailey and she survives in Forest.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tina (Jeff) Moore of Forest and Tami (Matt) Trautwein of Cumberland, Md.; four grandchildren, Joshua, Sam, Logan and Morgan; a brother, James A. (Diane) Frederick of Springfield, Fla.; and a sister, Jeannette Reser of El Paso, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph R. Frederick.
A farmer, he was also employed at Whirlpool Corp., Findlay.
He was a member of Forest United Methodist Church, a 1966 graduate of Riverdale High School, a member of the Mount Blanchard Gun Club and the National Rifle Association. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He loved classic cars, owning a 1970 Nova SS and a 1962 Ford Galaxie XL convertible.

Services and burial for Mary Ellen Kemper will be in the Dayton area.
She died Monday, July 28, 2008, in Columbus, the daughter of Jesse A. Strahm (formerly Deputy Master of Hardin County Granges) and Edith Strahm, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Kemper, in 2005.
Surviving are three children, Mike of Phoenix, Ariz., and Maureen and Melanie of Columbus, and three grandchildren, Angela and Bryan Karst and Molly Kemper.
She graduated from Kenton High School and Miami University.

Arrangements for Joan N. Shepherd are incomplete at Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton.
She died at 5:29 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
She was married to Chester L. Shepherd and he died on July 15, 2008.

Services for Louis "Lou" Schwartz will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton by the Rev. Anthony Dinovo.
He died July 5, 2008.
He was born Sept. 7, 1911, on a small farm south of Kenton, to Edward and Catherine (Dick) Schwartz. He was the fourth of 11 children.
Surviving are a son, Steve (Doris) Schwartz of Marion; a grandson, Brian (Beth) Schwartz and great-granddaughter, Andrea Rose Schwartz of Huron; granddaughter, Lindsey (David) Willey of Richwood; brothers, Cletus Schwartz of Ohio, Charles Schwartz of Michigan and sister Magdalene Rhoades of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his long time very dear friend Lois Metzler of Bradenton, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald K. Schwartz; two brothers, Joseph, Eugene and Edward Jr.; and four sisters, Helena Baker, Agnes Schwartz, Margaret "Peg" Burke and Rose Vernier.
He served in the 3C's during the depression era. He was a side gunner on a B-24 bomber during World War II, flying missions out of North Africa into Italy, Austria and Southern Europe. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
After the war he worked at the Marion Power Shovel Co. in Marion as a dispatcher for 35 years.
He was a 40-year member of St. Mary Parish in Marion and a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Sarasota, Fla. He was a founding and charter member of Elks No. 2734 Manasota, Fla., for 22 years.
Flowers can be sent to the church, or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care of Bradenton, Fla., or a charity of the donor’s choice.
