Services for Thomas R. Carrig will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, by the Rev. Henry Albietz. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Ohio 501, Wapakoneta.
He died at 2:01 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born April 5, 1934, in Lima, the son of Raymond and Lenore (Barton) Carrig, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 22, 1955, he married Mary Ann Rakoczy, and she survives.
Also surviving are five children, Thomas G. (Penny) Carrig of Kenton, Kathleen (Dorance) Thompson of Cridersville, Tim (Robin) Carrig of Kenton, Mary (Jerry) Beech of Wapakoneta, Theresa (Jose) "Terri Carrig" Guillen of Lima; a son-in-law, Paul Smith, New Albany, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; a brother, Charles E. (Mina) Carrig of Dearborn, Mich.; and a brother-in-law, Eugene (Joan) Rakoczy of Harbor Beach, Mich.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Carrig and Suzanne Smith.
He retired from Sheller Globe Research Center as an automotive engineer. He had also owned and operated T.R. Carrig & Associates. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. He was an avid antique car enthusiast, especially pre-1917 automobiles. He was a member of the Antique Car Club of America, the Horseless Carriage Car Club and the Veteran Motor Car Club of America. He had also served as president of the American Society of Body Engineers, Detroit Chapter and president of the American Motors Credit Union, Detroit.

Graveside services for Bonnie L. Rodenberger will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hale Cemetery in Mount Victory by the Rev. Scott Johnson.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Home in Kenton.
She died at 4:57 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at her home.
She was born Nov. 12, 1926, in Hepburn to James Irwen and Mary (Marmon) Deardorff.
Surviving are a daughter, Jan (Dave) Stuck of Kenton; three sons, Dave (Pam) Deardorff of Cary, N.C., Garry (Andrea) Rodenberger of Defiance and Tim Rodenberger of California; 11 grandchildren, Andrea and John Deardorff, Britt Holland, Kirby Stephenson, Nathan, Grant and Garrett Rodenberger, Clint (Ann) Stuck, David and Kelsey Stuck and Meredith Phillips; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alec and Austin Deardorff, Jayden and Maddox Stephenson; and a sister, Merle White of Springfield, Ill.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Phillips and three brothers, Robert, Richard and James M. Deardorff.
She worked as a bookkeeper for several nursing homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hardin County Hospice.

Private services are planned for Billy L. Claphan.
He died Saturday evening, July 26, 2008, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
He was born Feb. 28, 1938, in Kenton to the late John and Myra (Brown) Claphan. He married Kaye Bernhardt in Dunkirk on Oct. 28, 1960, and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Cheryl Freed, Lisa (Tod) Cornell of Dola and Lora Rettig of Arlington; six grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry and Larry, both of Kenton; and a sister, Judith Lafferty of rural Findlay.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John; a sister, Connie; and a granddaughter.
He was a 1957 graduate of Kenton High School. He retired from Meritor, formerly Rockwell, in Kenton. He was a member of various outdoor sports clubs.

He died at 10:41 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Hardin County to Oscar and Neva (Wingate) Hamilton.
Surviving are two daughters, Mabel Hord and Cheryl Hall, both of Kenton; two sons, Dave (Sharon) and Rick (Becky) Hamilton, both of Kenton; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin (Wanda) and Charles (Mary) Hamilton, both of Kenton and Justin Hamilton of Alger; and a sister, Gertrude Black of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Don Hamilton; a sister, Joanne Rodenberger; a son, Lewis Hamilton; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
He was a retired farmer and worked at Oborn Sawmill.

Services for Jacqueline Loeffert-Murphy will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Kenton by the Rev. William Koppert and Pastor Peter Paige. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in Kenton.
Friends may call 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
She died at 1:37 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008, in Westerville.
She was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo., to Ralph T. and Grace (Wachalec) Harding. On Feb. 14, 1943, she married G. Richard Loeffert and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1980. She then married Herbert A. Murphy on Aug. 21, 1993, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2003.
Surviving are four sons, Larry S. Loeffert of Westerville, David R. (Sue) Loeffert of Dunedin, Fla., Richard H. (Becky) Loeffert of Franklin, Pa. and John M. Loeffert of Westerville; two step-daughters, Beverly (George) Doyle of Lima and Phyllis (Randy) Hester of Westerville; a step-son, Robert C. (Kay) Murphy of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; and nine grandchildren, Leah of Washington, D.C., Kim, Alli of New York City, Jeff and Greg of White Plains, N.Y., Kelly (Rob) Leger of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Lindsey and Jill of Orlando, Fla., and Taryn of Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
She moved to Kenton in 1920 when she came to live with her maternal grandparents Michael and Elizabeth Wachalec.
She graduated from Kenton High School in 1937 and in 1941 received her degree in music education and a piano performance certificate from Capital University and Conservatory. She taught instrumental and vocal music in Wyandot and Hardin County schools from 1941 to 1946.
She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church where she directed the Chancel Choir for 25 years, the children's Carol Choir for eight years and, in 1981, she organ- ized and directed the Chancel Bell Ringers for four years.
She was active in the community as a pianist, an accompanist, a member of small vocal ensembles as well as a director of local choral groups.
She was a past president of the University Women's Club and the Kenton Music Club, a long time member of Latham Chapter OES and a former member of Fortnightly Literary Club. She also served as secretary for the First Kenton Community Concert series in 1945.
