Services for Earl V. King will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton by Pastor John Dyer. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008 at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1923 in Ada to Frank and Blanche (Pool) King. On Oct. 22, 1944 he married Helen Eibling and she preceded him in death on June 27, 2001.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Duane) Paul of Kenton; three sons, Thomas (Cheryl) King of Kenton, Robert (Leslie) King of Napierville, Ill. and James (Sue) King of Lenior City, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and one sister, Donna Runser of Kenton.
He was a retired farmer and had worked at Cavalier Farm Services in Kenton. He also sold seed corn.
He graduated from Dunkirk High School.
He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Kenton and a lifetime member of the Hardin County Farm Bureau.
He also served on the Pleasant Township Zoning Board and was a A.S.C.S. Central Committeeman.
