Services for Ava M. Elsasser will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton by Pastor Denny Livingston. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery.
Friends may call 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
She died at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton.
She was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Hardin County to Clyde and Carol (Clark) Williams. On July 28, 1940, she married Robert Elsasser and he preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1999.
Surviving are a son, R. Scott (Jeri) Elsasser of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Alice L. (Steve) Bower of Caledonia and Carol A. (Ron) Pavlak of Daytona Beach, Fla.,; five grandsons, Christopher (Michelle) Carruthers of Findlay, Adam (Jennifer) Carruthers of Gastonia, N.C., Todd Maroney of Jacksonville, Fla., Sean Maroney of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Brian Elsasser of Ft. Collins, Colo.; a step-granddaughter, Sheri of Los Angeles, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Mason and Dawson Carruthers, Dylan Maroney and Ava Carruthers; two step-great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Sophia and four brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Williams, Ralph (Karen) Williams, Ronnie (Nina) Williams and Raymond Williams.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clark and Russell Williams and a sister, Mabel Williams.
She was a homemaker and a 1939 graduate of Kenton High School.
She was a member of the Hepburn Methodist Church and the Dudley Jolly Circle.
She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

There will be no services for Irwin Karl Paulun. Burial will be at a later date.
He died at 8:55 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at his residence.
He was born April 19, 1929, in Detroit, Mich., to Karl and Hattie (Gollee) Paulun. On Aug. 1, 1953, he married Clara Mae Myers and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are two sons, David Irwin (Melinda) Paulun of Kenton and Steven Thomas (Joyce) Paulun of Wyandotte, Mich.; a daughter, Janice (John) Mustain of Kenton; four grandchildren, Jessica Paulun of Southgate, Mich., Mitchell Mustain of Seattle, Wash., Emilia (Jacob) Ward of Mount Vernon and Nelson Mustain of Kenton; a great-grandson, Parker Ward of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Melvin Paulun of Manchester, Mich., and James Paulun of St. Clair Shores, Mich. and a daughter-in-law, Janice Paulun of Southgate, Mich.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Kinsel.
He was a security guard at Great Lakes Steel in Ecorse, Mich., for 42 years.
He was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Wyandotte, Mich., and attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Kenton.
He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
Price Funeral Home in Kenton is in charge of arrangements.

Lima

A celebration of life service will be held in honor of Susan R. Skaggs at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Grace Community Church in Lima. Burial will be in the Lewis Grove Cemetery in Lima.
Private family services were held with internment at Lewis Grove Cemetery in Lima.
She died at 4:18 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008, at her home.
She was born Feb. 18, 1984, in Lima to Ross William and Pamela Jo (Porter) Skaggs and they both survive.
Also surviving are a stepfather, Steve Cotrell of Lima; a stepmother, Mickki Skaggs of Lima; a brother, Mark Wildman of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Rachel Wildman of Columbus, Nichole Cotrell and Brittany Cotrell, both of Lima; maternal grandfather, John (Tina) Porter of Kenton; step-grandparents, John (Sallyann) Ankney of Toledo; aunts and uncles, Ralph (Ann) Howe of Kenton, Lisa Ann Wallace of Bellefontaine and John Porter of Rushsylvania.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Donna Porter and paternal grandparents George and Virginia Skaggs.
She attended Marimor School and participated in community-based services.
Her beautiful smile brought joy to everyone that knew her.
She will be missed by her family and friends. There is great peace in knowing she is in the presence of the Lord with no physical limitations.
