Services for Irene Risner will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada by Pastor Jack Duffy. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and until time of service on Friday.
She died at 12 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1917 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Dixon and Minnie (Risner) Pinks. On Dec. 24, 1937 she married Roy Risner, he died on Jan. 18, 1983.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Norman) Sink of Sun City, Ariz.; a son-in-law, Jeff Fleck of Spencerville; a daughter-in-law, Diane Risner of Lima; a brother, Oakie Pinks of Ada; two sisters, Marjorie Pinks of Ada and Kathleen (Lindal) Marshall of Salyersville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Risner; a daughter, Charlotte Fleck and a brother, Rollie Pinks.
She retired after working 25 years at Wilson Sporting Goods of Ada, where she had been a sewer.
Memorials may be made to Roselawn Nursing Home, 420 East 4th St., Spencerville.
