Services for Thomas L. Hershberger will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home in Dunkirk by Joseph Oman Jr. Burial will be in Dunkirk Cemetery with military graveside services by Amvets Post 1994, by Joseph Oman Jr.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, June 31, 2008, at Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born June 11, 1925, in Lima to Henry and Geneva (Cahill) Hershberger. On June 6, 1957, he married Cloa O. Hershberger and she died Jan. 3, 1999.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Jennifer) Hershberger of Dunkirk and Robert E. Hershberger; two grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Osborn of Kenton and Justin Hershberger of Iola, Kan.; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Hershberger of Iola, Kan.; and two sisters, Evelyn Bigelow and Martha Coolidge.
He was preceded in death by a son and numerous brothers and sisters.
He was a retired truck driver with over one million miles. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was also a life member of the VFW Post 3816 of Dunkirk.
Memorials may be made to the donors’ choice.
