Services for Paul W. Steiner will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Price Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in Kenton with military graveside services by Amvets Post 1994.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday.
He died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Cessna Township to Clarence W. and Elva Ilo (Highslip) Steiner. On Aug. 1, 1950, he married Nancy Kaser in Muncie, Ind., and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are two daughters, LaDonna (Mark Goldsmith) Steiner of Fairfield, Conn., and Jacquelyn (Rod) Kemmere of Kenton; a son, Michael Steiner of Kenton; a grandson, Jacob Goldsmith of Fairfield, Conn.; a granddaughter, Samantha Steiner of Kenton and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ray Steiner and three sisters, Leah Broseke, Edna Huffman and Pauline Temple.
He retired from Rockwell International in Kenton after 44 years of employment.
He was a member of the Amvets Post 1994, Eagles Lodge 2163, VFW Post 3333, the Ohio L.S.T. Association and the National L.S.T. Association, numerous carnival glass associations and a lifetime member of the Hardin County Coonhunters Club.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II. He entered the service on Nov. 16, 1943, and was discharged May 13, 1946.
Memorials may be made to Hardin County Hospice.
