Armentrout
Reed, 74
Kenton
Memorial services for Reed Armentrout will be 5 p.m. Sunday at VFW Post 3333 in Kenton. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Grove Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Price Funeral Home of Kenton is handling the arrangements.
He died at 11:28 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
He was born June 29, 1933, in Kenton to Thaddeus and Cora (McKeever) Armentrout. In 1990, he married Shirley Decker and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are a son, Miles (Susan) Armentrout of Springboro and Mike (Pam) Armentrout of Waynesfield; a daughter, Robin (Kelly) Palmer of Gaithersburg, Md.; three step-children, Teresa Allen of Mount Dora, Fla., Toni (John) Schumaker of Findlay and Gary (Wendy) Mabrey of Columbus, Ind.; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He was a retired contractor and formerly ran a sign shop. He was a tool designer and tool maker and he also was an electrician and moldmaker.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a life member of the Amvets Post 20, VFW Post 3333 and Men’s Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge 428, Eagles Lodge 2163, Kenton Masonic Bodies of Latham Lodge 154, Blue Lodge, Council Commandry Chapter and Shrine.
He was also a member of the Elks Lodge 157, Hardin County Archeological and Historical Society, Kenton Jaycees and was a former Scout leader.
He designed and built the monument at Pottersfield and was instrumental in saving and preserving the National Guard Armory in Kenton.
Reed was a loving husband, a fun-loving person and an adopted “Dad” and special friend of many.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bridge Home Health and Hospice in Findlay, the American Cancer Society or the donor’s choice.

Cooney
W. Delno, 86
Ada
There will be no services or visitation for W. Delno Cooney.
He died at 6 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008, at his home.
He was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Ada to Colonel R. G. and Dottie (Keller) Cooney. On Oct. 10, 1944, he married Marcine Clum and she survives in Ada.
Also surviving are a son, Dennis (Lolly) Cooney of Ada; a daughter, Nancy (Jim) Jackson of Norton; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Cooney and two sisters, Ruth Myers and Inez Sailor.
He was a farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served in World War II.
