Memorial services for Darlene E. LaWarre will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Christian Church in Kenton by Pastor Brad Ellis.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of services.
She died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at her home.
She was born Aug. 18, 1944, in Lima to Arthur and Marjorie (Sandkuhl) Remines and her mother, now Marjorie Gibson survives in Kenton. On May 7, 1966, she married Calvin LaWarre and he survives in Hepburn.
Also surviving are a daughter, Christina Van Auken of Cincinnati; five sons, Michael (Patty) LaWarre of Roundhead, Nathan (Rita) Thatcher of Lakeview, Calvin LaWarre of St. Marys, Joe (Anna) LaWarre and Jonathan (Jean) LaWarre, both of Kenton; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She worked at AAI Jewelry Company and owned and operated Darlene's Produce in Kenton. She was an ordained minister.
The Price Funeral Home of Kenton is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

Services for Oren Wright "Shorty" will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada by the Rev. Del Bonar. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and until time of service Monday.
He died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born June 15, 1924, in Prestonburg, Ky., to Fred and Zora (Williams) Wright. On Feb. 1, 1947, he married Pauline "Pug" Dyer and she died April 16, 2007.
Surviving are a son, Tracy Wright of Kenton; three daughters, Sherry (Doug) Sauer of Bowling Green and Patty (Albert) Burkheimer and Penny Emerick, both of Lima; five grandchildren, Scott Sauer, Lisa Messmore, Douglas Sauer Jr., Chad Burkheimer and Dyllan Burkheimer; a great-grandson, Shane Sauer; a brother, Joe Wright of Dayton: two sisters, Linda Smith of Ada and Sue Little of Lima and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Wright and two sisters, Rushie Hackworth and Ruth Kindle.
He had worked as a machinist for Ohio Steel/Teledyne of Lima.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II.
