Dr. Ronald E. Osborn Posted on March 13, 2020 0 Services for Dr. Ronald E. Osborn will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Kenton. Friends may call 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. Casual attire is encouraged per Ron’s wishes.He died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 20, 1951 in Kenton to the late Laurence and Edna (Olliver) Osborn. Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years, Janet (Deliz) Osborn of Kenton; his daughter, Kristin (Chip) Grimshaw of Kenton; his brother, Ken (Elaine) Osborn of Marshall, Mo.; a sister Juanita (Raymond) Wright of Loudon, Tenn.; adopted sister, Jane Baker of Kenton; close friend, Gus Bitounis of Westlake and many cousins, nieces and nephews.In 1976, he graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in dentistry and returned to Kenton where he had his practice for almost 42 years, working with his wife, daughter, family friend Dory Warmbrod, and many others over the decades.Ron enjoyed working in his garage on various projects, hunting, traveling, listening to classical music, solving crossword puzzles, and walking the woods he cherished so much. He had an affinity for the color green (especially John Deere green), never met a potato-based dish he didn’t like, and was constantly on the hunt for the next new recipe to test out.He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.Memorials may be made to the ALS Association or the National Forest Foundation.
